[강남 소비자저널=정현아 기자] 광주시는 결식 우려 아동의 결식을 예방하고 건강한 성장과 발달을 지원하기 위해 ‘2026년 행복 두 끼 프로젝트’를 본격 추진한다고 16일 밝혔다.
행복 두 끼 프로젝트는 광주시가 지난 2025년 8월 행복나래(주), 행복얼라이언스, 행복도시락사회적협동조합과 업무협약을 체결하고 민관 협력을 통해 결식 위기에 놓인 아동들에게 안정적인 급식을 지원하기 위해 마련한 사업이다.
지원 대상은 가정의 경제적 어려움 등으로 안정적인 식사가 어려운 아동 40명으로, 올해 1월부터 12월까지 1년간 지원이 이뤄진다.
대상 아동들에게는 주 2회 도시락이 지속적으로 제공되며 도시락은 밑반찬 4종과 간식류로 구성된다. 광주시는 이를 통해 아동들이 끼니 걱정 없이 일상생활과 학업에 집중할 수 있도록 지원하는 한편, 성장기 아동에게 필수적인 영양 섭취를 보장해 신체적·정서적 발달을 도모할 계획이다.
행복나래(주) 관계자는 “이번 협약과 지원사업이 아동들의 미래를 지키는 든든한 기반이 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 지역사회와 협력해 아동복지 향상을 위한 다양한 노력을 이어가겠다”고 말했다.
이에 대해 방세환 시장은 “이번 협약을 통해 민관이 협력해 돌봄의 손길이 필요한 아동들을 지원할 수 있게 되어 뜻깊다”며 “행복 두 끼 프로젝트를 적극 추진해 아동친화도시로서의 기반을 더욱 공고히 해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
